Ing. Věra Czesaná CSc.

The team leader Věra Czesaná works at the NTF as chief expert-analyst and the Head of the National Observatory of Employment and Training. She obtained her doctoral degree in economics and statistics at the University of Economics in Prague. She has rich experience in leading of teams and co-ordination of projects related to the labour market and education, and under the transeuropean ReferNet project that provides analysis and education policy monitoring for the Cedefop and for the European Commission she has played a role of national coordinator since 2004.

She is involved in many analytical and research projects concerning education, labour market trends, changes in employment structures and quality of human resources in relation to the knowledge intensive sectors development and innovations. She contributes to the design of indicators set for monitoring and analysing quality of human resources in international context which was the part of periodical publication The Competitiveness of the Czech Republic. Since the last decade she has focused on lifelong learning issues and on early identification of labour market skill needs, especially on occupational supply and demand analyses.

She is an author and co-writer of many analytical studies and has participated in many national as well as international projects. She provides expertise to the ministries participates in strategic documents designing and formulates recommendations for policy measures in the field of education, employment and R&D&I policy.
